Which photoshop version is the correct one for taking a flier and editing it?

like Photoshop 6 ?...or one of the (i think they are called) CS3 ones?

just need to take a flier and change some of the lettering to new ones.Which photoshop version is the correct one for taking a flier and editing it?
None, if the images are flattened into non-editable images like .jpg or .gif. If the Photoshop files are the original files and they have not been flattened, meaning all of the layers are intact, you can use any version of Photoshop that's at least the same version number or above. But if the version you have is more then about 2 versions above the version that the files were created in, you may run into trouble...

As a side note, there are methods to use to edit the text but they are fairly involved and involve manipulating the text as if they were images...

Besides, fliers are usually created with programs such as InDesign, PageMaker or you can get away with using graphics software such as Illustrator and Photoshop is not designed for such work.Which photoshop version is the correct one for taking a flier and editing it?
Photoshop 6 is so outdated. Use the latest (CS3) version for image editing. Check out this article for what you're missing if you're not using the latest version:

Hope this helps.
