Why when i try to use to use the color replacement tool in photoshop an error message appears?

the message says :





'; could not use the color replacement tool. it does not work on alpha channels';

the only thing I can really think of is to find the channel palette (cuz it may not be turned on) if its not go up to windows and turn it on and change it to the rgb channel. sry i hope that helps.Why when i try to use to use the color replacement tool in photoshop an error message appears?
Just to add to this. An Alpha channel is the digital equivalent of old style photographic techniques. It's kind of like an 'invisible' colour channel (CMYK etc are also channels in Photoshop).





The Channel palette can be access from the windows menu item. It usually sits behind the Layers palette. Report Abuse
