Paint .NET is a powerful FREE program for download here. You also need .NET Framework which you can also download here. Paint .NET has very high ratings and good reviews. Look it up.

Corel Paintshop Pro is very similar. I'm a designer who works on Photoshop for all of my work, but I was asked to do a short class on Paintshop Pro for a local library. Since I already knew Photoshop in and out, learning Paintshop was very easy. It seemed to have all of the same tools, effects, and capabilities, they were just named differently.





Corel Paintshop Pro runs under $100, the lowest I found was $50. Good luck %26amp; have fun!
why settle for imitation? Photoshop is #1... should you pay 700 for it? hell no... search around, you can find it for 0 no problem

There's the educational license of Photoshop (prices vary). Otherwise, there aren't any programs that are true replacements for Photoshop.





GIMP is a popular Photoshop alternative; if it seems too complicated, try Paint.NET. Both are free.

I've used (and like) Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9. It's not quite as ';involved'; as photoshop (but then, neither am I lol).

It has the same functionality Photoshop does, just in a simplified environment.
Paint pro is a really amazing product and you can download it on this website.
