How do i save a render from photoshop without that white background? Just the image.?

I am trying to post a render onto my website home page....So I render it, but the problem is...You guess it! That pesky white background that saves with it....I just want the image. Nothing else...How do i save a render from photoshop without that white background? Just the image.?
You need to save it as a Gif with a transparent background. Jpeg must have a background. How do i save a render from photoshop without that white background? Just the image.?
Do NOT save it as GIF unless the image has less than 256 colours. Save it as a True-colour PNG with Transparency. That way you'll get just the image and it will overlay onto any colour background (which a GIF will not do if it has an anti-aliased outline).

Just be aware that your PNG will be a heavier file that if you saved as GIF (it contains MANY more colours) but the overall effect is far more pleasing to the eye.

You could also save to TIFF with an alpha channel, but not many applications will let you view it.PNG is much more widely accepted especially, of course, on websites.
Save it as a gif or png, both support transparencies.
transparent format is either .gif or .tmg make sure u delete the white background.
